Chief Officers for container vessels worldwide. Take the lead on deck and navigation on global trade routes.
We are looking for 10 Chief Officers (C/O) based in Europe. Step up as Chief Officer on modern container vessels trading worldwide. Work with an experienced crew, keep deck and cargo operations running safely, and support the Master in all navigational and operational matters.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee cargo operations, lashing, stability and loading plans
- Lead bridge watch and assist the Master with safe navigation and voyage planning
- Manage deck crew, work planning and maintenance of deck, cargo gear and safety equipment
- Ensure compliance with ISM, ISPS, MARPOL and company procedures
- Organize and conduct safety drills, inspections and risk assessments
Requirements:
- Valid Chief Mate / Chief Officer license (unlimited)
- Minimum of 3 months experience in rank
- Previous experience as Chief Mate / Chief Officer on container vessels is preferred but not mandatory
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness as per international standards
- Strong cargo handling, stability and ship handling skills
- Good English communication and proven leadership of multinational crews
