OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Rigger to work onboard Service Operation Vessels (SOV) in Vung Tau, Vietnam. You will be part of a safe and professional deck team, supporting offshore operations and ensuring all lifting work is carried out to a high standard.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out rigging and lifting operations on deck and in offshore work areas
- Prepare, inspect and maintain lifting gear, wires, shackles and slings
- Assist with cargo handling, deck routines and support to offshore technicians
- Follow all safety procedures, permits and toolbox talks
- Report any unsafe conditions, near misses or equipment defects
Requirements
- Proven experience as Rigger in offshore or marine operations
- Valid offshore and rigging/lifting certificates as required
- Good knowledge of safe lifting practices and deck work
- Fit for offshore work and willing to work in rotation
- Basic English communication skills for work and safety instructions
