OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Crane Operator (CRO) to work onboard a Service Operation Vessel (SOV) in Brunei. If you have solid offshore lifting experience and a strong safety mindset, this role could be a good fit for you.
Key responsibilities
- Operate offshore cranes safely for cargo handling and personnel transfer
- Plan and execute lifting operations in line with company and client procedures
- Carry out pre-use and routine inspections of crane and lifting gear
- Coordinate with bridge, deck crew and offshore teams during operations
- Report defects, near-misses and unsafe conditions promptly
- Support deck operations and general maintenance as required
Requirements
- Proven experience as Offshore Crane Operator, preferably on SOV or similar vessels
- Recognized offshore crane operator certificate
- Valid STCW certificates and offshore medical fit for duty
- Strong knowledge of lifting operations and safety practices
- Good English communication skills
- Ability to work in a multinational crew and in offshore rotation
