Join OSM Thome as an Gangway Operator on a Service Operation Vessel (SOV) in Brunei. You will work offshore with a professional crew, ensuring safe transfer of personnel and cargo while supporting daily marine operations.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and monitor the gangway system safely during personnel transfer
- Carry out mooring, unmooring and general deck duties as Gangway Operator
- Assist with loading, discharging and securing of cargo and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of deck areas and gangway equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and take part in drills and toolbox talks
- Report any faults, near misses or unsafe conditions to the officer on watch
Requirements
- Valid AB certificate and STCW documents in line with international standards
- Proven experience as Gangway Operator, preferably on offshore or SOV vessels
- Experience operating or assisting with motion-compensated gangways is an advantage
- Valid medical certificate and offshore survival/HELICOPTER (if required by client)
- Good English communication and ability to work in a multinational crew
- Strong safety mindset and readiness to work in offshore conditions
