Join OSM Thome as an Ordinary Seaman (OS) on an Oil/Chemical Tanker trading in the North Sea. You will work closely with the deck crew, support safe cargo and mooring operations, and help keep the vessel in good condition.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with mooring, unmooring and anchoring operations
- Carry out routine deck maintenance, chipping, painting and cleaning
- Support cargo operations under supervision, including hose handling and basic deck watch
- Keep decks, gangways and work areas clean, safe and secure
- Stand lookout and assist on bridge when required
- Follow all safety procedures and take part in drills
Requirements
- Valid Ordinary Seaman (OS) / Deck Rating certificate
- Tanker (Oil/Chemical) familiarization and required STCW safety courses
- Valid seafarer medical certificate and travel documents
- Experience on tankers preferred, North Sea trade is an advantage
- Good English communication and strong safety mindset
- Fit for deck work and able to work in a team
