OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Bosun (BSN) to work on oil/chemical tankers trading worldwide. You will lead the deck crew, keep deck operations safe and efficient, and help maintain high standards on board.
- Key responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise deck ratings in all deck jobs and maintenance
- Organize and carry out mooring, unmooring, anchoring and cargo-related deck work
- Ensure deck equipment, gear and stores are in good order and properly used
- Support safe tank cleaning, enclosed space preparation and deck watch as required
- Follow company safety procedures and take active part in drills and toolbox talks
- Requirements:
- Proven sea service as Bosun on oil and/or chemical tankers
- Valid STCW certificates and tanker endorsements as per rank
- Good command of English, spoken and written
- Strong leadership and communication skills with hands-on attitude
- Fit for duty and able to work in a multi-national crew
- With Oil/Chem Tanker experience
