Galley Attendant for Carnival Cruise Line. Support kitchen operations, maintain cleanliness, and ensure high hygiene standards worldwide.
As a Galley Attendant, you will play an essential behind-the-scenes role in supporting all areas of the Food Operations department. You will help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the galley, ensuring that all utensils, crockery, cutlery, and kitchen equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and ready for use.
This role is ideal for a positive and energetic individual with a strong work ethic, a “can-do” attitude, and a desire to grow within the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and all other galley utensils
- Operate various cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
- Clean kitchen machines, work areas, and equipment to the highest hygiene standards
- Handle and dispose of chemicals and food waste appropriately
- Support chefs and kitchen teams with additional assigned duties
- Participate in all scheduled safety drills and training sessions
- Help maintain the cleanliness and readiness of busy food outlets to support excellent guest service
Qualifications and competence:
- Positive attitude and strong willingness to learn
- Fluency in conversational English
- Physically strong and able to lift at least 60 lbs
- Able to perform physically demanding work for up to 9 months at a time
- At least 1 year of experience as a utility worker or cleaner within the food industry
- At least 21 years old
- A strong desire to grow and progress in your career
