Able Seafarer (AB) on Offshore Service Operation Vessel (SOV) sailing under Cyprus flag, operating in France. Candidates must have solid offshore experience.
Description
AB will work as part of the deck crew, supporting safe vessel operations, deck maintenance and offshore activities on an SOV.
Key responsibilities
- Perform mooring, anchoring and towing operations
- Assist with offshore operations and support to technicians and personnel
- Stand lookout and helmsman watch as directed
- Carry out deck maintenance, cleaning, painting and basic repairs
- Operate and maintain deck equipment and gear safely
- Follow instructions from officers and bosun, and comply with safety procedures
Requirements
- Valid AB deck certificate and STCW documents appropriate for vessel flag
- Proven offshore experience, preferably on SOV or similar offshore vessels
- Experience with mooring, lifting and deck operations
- Good seamanship and knowledge of safe working practices
- Fit for duty and able to work in offshore conditions
- Ability to work in a team and follow safety and operational instructions
