Step aboard an offshore construction vessel as Messman with OSM Thome and support the crew worldwide. This is a hands-on role for a hardworking seafarer who takes pride in cleanliness, order, and good service at sea.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in galley and pantry work, including simple food preparation
- Serve meals and beverages to officers and crew
- Clean the mess room, galley, store rooms, and accommodation areas
- Collect, wash, dry, and store dishes, cutlery, and galley equipment
- Handle garbage collection and segregation as per onboard procedures
- Support the Chief Cook and Steward in daily routines and stores handling
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Messman or similar position at sea preferred
- Valid STCW certificates and seafarer documents as required
- Good command of spoken English
- Fit for work at sea, with valid medical certificate
- Positive attitude, good hygiene, and strong teamwork skills
- Willingness to work worldwide on offshore construction vessels
