Join OSM Thome as a Wiper on our worldwide Oil/Chemical Tanker fleet. Support the engine department in keeping all machinery, equipment and engine spaces clean, safe and in good working order.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist engine crew with routine engine room duties
- Clean and maintain engine room, workshops and machinery spaces
- Carry out basic maintenance tasks as directed by senior engineers
- Follow safety procedures and assist in emergency drills
- Report any defects, leaks or unsafe conditions to officers
- Requirements:
- Valid STCW documents and medical certificate
- Previous experience as Wiper or engine rating preferred
- Basic knowledge of engine room operations and safety
- Good English communication skills
- Physically fit and ready for worldwide trading
