Responsibilities
The position is responsible to continuously improve vessel accounting policies, processes, procedures and systems to ensure efficiency, control, standardization, and scalability across the organization. The position acts as the bridge between Vessel accounting team and other functions such as but not limited to various Finance teams, Operations, and IT to drive automation, digitalization, process excellence and best practices.
Operational Excellence
• Drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of business processes, policies, procedures and process standardization across function and locations.
• Ensure processes remain efficient, scalable, and aligned with organizational objectives.
• Analyze data to identify operational trends and opportunities for improvement
• Establish KPIs and track process performance (cycle time, error rates, etc.)
• Build a culture of continuous improvement within vessel accounting.
Quality Management
• Maximize utilization of D365 and related systems
• Ensure data integrity and proper system controls
• Support the establishment and maintenance of appropriate governance frameworks, controls, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory obligations, and industry best practices.
• Assist with internal and external audits and support the resolution of identified findings
Project Management
• Lead process improvement initiatives
• Monitor, track and report on the status of project deliverables to ensure time, cost and quality metrics are in line with approved project plans.
• Act as Vessel accounting’s key counterpart to IT and other functions on system enhancements
Stakeholder Engagement
• Support the planning, communication, and implementation of process and system changes.
• Engage with stakeholders across the organization to drive alignment, adoption, and continuous improvement
• Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure successful implementation of initiatives
Required Qualification & Experiences
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, process improvement, transformation, or operational excellence
• Strong understanding of business processes, systems, controls, and continuous improvement principles.
• Experience in process improvement, change management, system implementation, or transformation initiatives
• Exposure to ERP systems, automation, and digital solutions is preferred
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to drive changes, influence others, and work effectively across functions.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
