Join OSM Thome as a Crane Engineer (CRENG) on a PSV operating offshore Brazil. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of offshore cranes and related lifting equipment, supporting marine and deck operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor and maintain offshore cranes and lifting gear in line with vessel and client procedures
- Carry out inspections, testing and preventive maintenance on cranes and associated systems
- Identify and troubleshoot faults, coordinate repairs and keep maintenance records updated
- Work closely with the bridge, deck and marine crew to plan and execute lifting operations safely
- Ensure all lifting activities comply with safety rules, class and statutory requirements
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Crane Engineer/Crane Technician on offshore vessels, preferably PSV
- Strong knowledge of offshore crane systems, hydraulics, mechanics and control systems
- Valid offshore and seafarer documents as per Brazilian/flag and client requirements
- Good English communication skills and ability to work in a multinational crew
- Safety-focused mindset and willingness to work in offshore rotation
