Join OSM Thome as 2nd Engineer on a bulk carrier trading worldwide. You will be part of a professional engine team, making sure all machinery runs safely and efficiently on every voyage.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist Chief Engineer in daily engine room operations and maintenance
- Monitor and maintain main engine, auxiliaries, boilers and related systems
- Carry out planned maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery and equipment
- Ensure safe engine room practices and compliance with company and statutory rules
- Keep engine room logs, records and maintenance reports up to date
- Support bunkering operations and fuel/lube oil management
- Requirements:
- Valid 2nd Engineer (Unlimited) CoC, STCW compliant
- Recent seagoing experience as 2/E on bulk carriers preferred
- Good knowledge of engine room systems and planned maintenance routines
- Valid STCW safety and medical certificates
- Good English communication skills
- Team player with a strong safety mindset
