Key Responsibilities:
Depending on the position, responsibilities may include:
- Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of engine room machinery and technical systems.
- Performing planned maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Standing engine room watches and monitoring machinery from the Engine Control Room (ECR).
- Supporting compliance with international maritime regulations, company policies, and safety management systems.
- Conducting safety inspections, emergency drills, and promoting a strong safety culture onboard.
- Maintaining HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Managing engine stores, spare parts inventory, tools, and procurement records.
- Working collaboratively with the Engine Department to ensure operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid STCW certification relevant to the position.
- Valid Seafarer's Medical Certificate.
- Appropriate Certificate of Competency (CoC) or technical qualifications applicable to the role.
- Previous experience in the applied position or a closely related role.
- Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety, operational excellence, and environmental compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience onboard passenger cruise vessels.
- Experience working in multicultural environments.
- Familiarity with planned maintenance systems (PMS) and modern marine technical equipment.
- Knowledge of SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, and other relevant international maritime regulations.
