Join OSM Thome as Bosun on a car carrier trading worldwide. We are looking for an experienced deck seafarer to lead the deck crew, keep deck operations safe and efficient, and maintain the vessel to a high standard.
- Key responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise deck crew in daily deck maintenance and operations
- Organize and carry out mooring, unmooring and cargo-related deck work
- Ensure safe work practices and proper use of tools and equipment
- Assist officers with deck drills, safety routines and watchkeeping as required
- Maintain deck stores, ropes, wires and safety gear in good condition
- Requirements:
- Valid Bosun/AB seaman documents and certificates as per STCW
- Previous experience as Bosun or senior AB, preferably on car carriers or similar vessels
- Good spoken and written English
- Strong leadership, teamwork and safety mindset
- Medically fit for sea service
