OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to join a RO-PAX vessel A Nepita. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all engine room machinery and technical systems on board, joining the vessel as soon as possible.
- Key responsibilities:
- Oversee operation and maintenance of all main and auxiliary engines and machinery
- Lead, train and supervise the engine room team
- Ensure safe and economical fuel and lube oil consumption
- Plan and carry out preventive maintenance and repairs
- Ensure compliance with class, flag state and company procedures
- Maintain engine room logs, records and reports
- Support safe vessel operations in close cooperation with the Master and deck department
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer license for RO-PAX or similar vessels
- Previous experience as C/E, preferably on RO-PAX or passenger vessels
- Valid STCW certificates and seagoing documents as per regulations
- Good command of English, written and spoken
- Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
