Join OSM Thome as a Messman on board an offshore construction vessel trading worldwide. You will be part of the catering team, helping to keep the crew well fed, comfortable and the accommodation clean and in good order.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Cook in food preparation and galley duties
- Set up, serve and clear meals in the mess room
- Wash dishes, cleaning of galley and mess areas
- Clean cabins, toilets and common areas as instructed
- Handle garbage segregation and disposal as per procedures
- Support general housekeeping and safe hygienic standards on board
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Messman or similar position at sea preferred
- Valid seafarer documents and medical certificate as per STCW
- Basic safety training and crowd/crisis courses as required
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for offshore work and willing to work in a multi‑national crew
