OSM Thome is looking for an experienced 3rd Engineer for a Chemical Tanker trading worldwide. You will be part of a safe, professional, and team-focused engine department, keeping the vessel’s machinery running smoothly on global voyages.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries, and all engine room equipment
- Carry out planned maintenance and daily checks as per PMS and Chief Engineer’s instructions
- Monitor and record engine room parameters and report abnormalities
- Ensure safe bunkering, fuel transfer, and proper use of chemicals and lubricants
- Maintain good housekeeping and safety standards in the engine room
- Support vessel compliance with company procedures and international regulations
- Requirements:
- Valid STCW CoC as Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch (or higher), appropriate for tanker vessels
- Previous experience as 3rd Engineer, preferably on Chemical or other Tankers
- Valid tanker endorsements and all mandatory STCW safety certificates
- Good English communication skills
- Medically fit for sea service and ready to join worldwide
