- Key responsibilities:
- Assist engineers in daily engine room operations and maintenance
- Carry out routine checks on main engine, generators and auxiliary machinery
- Perform oiling, greasing and cleaning of machinery and equipment
- Monitor and maintain engine room cleanliness and safety standards
- Support bunkering operations and machinery overhauls as required
- Requirements:
- Valid Motorman / Oiler rating certificate and STCW documents
- Experience as Motorman / Oiler, preferably on bulk carriers
- Good knowledge of engine room duties and safe working practices
- Medically fit for sea service with valid medical certificate
- Good English communication and a cooperative, team-minded attitude
