Join OSM Thome as an Assistant Waiter / Cabin Steward on a passenger cruise vessel sailing in Antarctica. Work closely with the restaurant team to deliver safe, friendly and efficient service to guests in one of the world’s most unique cruise regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist waiters in setting up, serving and clearing tables in all dining areas
- Provide polite, attentive and timely service to passengers and crew
- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the restaurant, pantry and service stations
- Support with room service and special events as required
- Follow all safety, hygiene and sanitation procedures on board
Requirements
- Previous experience as assistant waiter or similar role on cruise or passenger vessels preferred
- Good command of English, both spoken and written
- Customer-focused attitude and good communication skills
- Ability to work long hours, in shifts, in challenging polar conditions
- Valid seagoing documents and medical fitness suitable for Antarctic operations
