OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Electro Technical Officer (ETO) to join our container vessel fleet trading worldwide. You will be responsible for the safe and reliable operation of all electrical and electronic systems on board, supporting smooth and efficient vessel operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair all electrical, electronic, and automation systems, including power generation and distribution
- Carry out routine inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of navigation and communication equipment
- Support the engine and deck teams with electrical and control system issues
- Ensure safe working practices and compliance with company and class requirements
- Keep accurate records of maintenance, spares, and repair work
- Requirements:
- Valid ETO CoC and all required STCW certificates
- Sea-going experience as ETO on container vessels or similar cargo ships
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical, electronic, and automation systems
- Good English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of an international crew
