We are looking for a motivated 4th Engineer / Junior Engineer to serve on a chemical tanker trading worldwide. You will be part of a professional engine team, supporting safe and efficient operations of all machinery and equipment.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries and all engine room machinery
- Carry out routine checks, inspections and planned maintenance jobs
- Monitor engine room parameters and report any abnormalities
- Assist with bunkering, sludge and bilge operations as instructed
- Follow all safety procedures and support environmental protection on board
- Keep engine room and workshop areas clean and in good order
- Requirements:
- Valid 4th Engineer / Junior Engineer CoC (STCW compliant)
- Previous sea service in engine department; tanker experience an advantage
- Valid STCW basic and advanced tanker / chemical tanker certificates as required
- Valid medical certificate and seafarer documents
- Good English communication skills
- Safety-minded, willing to learn and able to work in a team
