OSM Thome is looking for an experienced 2nd Engineer for worldwide trading oil/chemical tankers. Join our team on board and support safe, efficient and reliable engine room operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Engineer in the daily management of the engine department
- Operate, monitor and maintain main engine, auxiliaries and related machinery
- Plan and carry out preventive maintenance and repairs
- Ensure safe and efficient engine room watchkeeping
- Maintain good technical records, logs and reports
- Support safe cargo and bunkering operations from the engine side
- Requirements:
- ME-B or C Electronics Engine experienced is a must
- Valid 2nd Engineer (Motor) CoC, III/2
- Recent experience on oil/chemical tankers
- Good knowledge of engine room systems and tanker operations
- Valid STCW documents, tanker endorsements and medical
- Good English communication skills
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work in a multinational crew
