Join OSM Thome as a Motorman (MTM) / Oiler on oil/chemical tankers trading worldwide. You will be part of the engine team, helping to keep all machinery running safely and efficiently on board.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist engine officers with operation and routine maintenance of main and auxiliary engines
- Carry out oiling, greasing and cleaning of machinery and engine room spaces
- Perform watchkeeping duties in the engine room as required
- Monitor and report any irregularities in machinery performance
- Follow safety procedures and permit-to-work systems at all times
- Support bunkering, ballasting and other engine room operations
- Requirements:
- Valid Motorman / Oiler (rating) certificates as per STCW
- Previous experience on oil and/or chemical tankers preferred
- Valid STCW basic safety training and tanker familiarization
- Valid medical certificate fit for sea service
- Good English communication skills
- Team player with a strong safety mindset and willingness to learn
- With atleast 1 contract experience in Tanker vessels
