Set sail as 3rd Engineer on an offshore construction vessel in UK waters with OSM Thome. You will be part of a professional engine team, keeping vessel machinery safe, reliable, and ready for demanding offshore operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in operation and maintenance of main engines, auxiliary engines, and all engine room machinery
- Carry out watchkeeping duties in the engine room as per company procedures
- Perform planned and unplanned maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
- Monitor and record engine parameters, fuel and lube oil consumption
- Ensure safe working practices and compliance with company and statutory regulations
- Support bunkering operations and correct handling of oils, chemicals, and consumables
- Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in the engine room and workshop
- Requirements:
- Valid 3rd Engineer (III/1 or higher) CoC, meeting UK/flag requirements
- Valid UK Work Permit or UK Frontier Visa
- Previous experience as 3/E, preferably on offshore or similar vessels
- All mandatory STCW certificates and valid Seafarer Medical (e.g. UKOOA/OGUK if required)
- Good knowledge of engine room systems and safety procedures
- Strong teamwork, communication skills, and good command of English
- Willingness to work in a busy offshore environment and follow OSM Thome standards
