Join OSM Thome as Electro Technical Officer (ETO) on a Fast Supply Vessel (FSV) operating offshore Luanda, Angola. In this role you will be responsible for all electrical and electronic systems onboard, ensuring safe, reliable vessel operations and supporting the marine and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain and repair all electrical and electronic systems, including power distribution, motors and control panels
- Monitor and troubleshoot automation, navigation, communication and DP-related equipment
- Carry out planned maintenance and updates to electrical and electronic systems
- Ensure safe electrical work practices and compliance with class and company standards
- Support the engine room and deck teams during operations, drills and emergencies
- Maintain technical documentation, reports and spare parts inventory
Requirements
- Valid Electro Technical Officer (ETO) license, meeting STCW requirements
- Previous sea experience as ETO, preferably on offshore or fast supply vessels
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical, electronic and automation systems
- Good command of English, spoken and written
- Valid medical, STCW certificates and offshore documents as required
- Ability to work safely in a multinational crew and in offshore conditions
