- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Master in overall vessel and crew management
- Lead deck crew in all deck operations and maintenance
- Plan and supervise cargo loading, discharge and tank cleaning
- Ensure safe handling of chemical cargoes and compliance with regulations
- Maintain navigational watch and oversee safe navigation
- Monitor stability, draft, and cargo condition
- Implement and follow SMS, safety and environmental procedures
- Conduct safety drills, trainings and inspections
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Officer / Chief Mate license (unlimited)
- Recent experience as C/O or strong 2/O experience on chemical tankers
- Valid STCW certificates and tanker / chemical endorsements
- Good knowledge of cargo planning, chemical handling and safety
- Good English communication skills
- Strong leadership and teamwork attitude
