Join OSM Thome as Chief Officer on a chemical tanker trading worldwide. We are looking for a hands-on, safety-minded leader who can run deck operations smoothly and support the Master in all shipboard matters.
- Key responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise deck crew in all cargo and deck operations
- Plan, supervise and monitor loading, discharging and tank cleaning
- Ensure safe cargo handling and correct use of cargo equipment and systems
- Maintain navigation watch and assist the Master with voyage planning
- Oversee deck maintenance, inspections and safety drills
- Keep cargo, stability and deck records up to date and accurate
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Officer / Chief Mate license (unlimited)
- Recent experience as Chief Officer on chemical tankers
- Advanced Chemical Tanker Training (STCW) and relevant DG endorsements
- Strong cargo handling and tank cleaning experience
- Good English communication skills
- Strong safety awareness and proven leadership on deck
