Set the course as Master on a chemical tanker trading worldwide. In this role with OSM Thome, you will lead the vessel, crew, and cargo operations safely and efficiently across global trades.
- Key responsibilities:
- Overall command of the vessel and crew
- Ensure safe navigation and ship handling in all conditions
- Oversee cargo operations for chemical products, including loading, discharging, and tank safety
- Maintain compliance with international regulations, company procedures, and vetting requirements
- Lead onboard safety culture, drills, and emergency response
- Coordinate with office, charterers, terminals, and authorities
- Requirements:
- Valid Master Mariner (Unlimited) CoC
- Recent experience as Master or Chief Officer on chemical tankers
- Strong knowledge of chemical cargo handling and relevant regulations (MARPOL, SOLAS, ISM, ISGOTT)
- Good English communication skills
- Valid STCW certificates, medical, and other documents required for worldwide trading
- Strong leadership, safety mindset, and ability to work with a multicultural crew
