Join OSM Thome as 3rd Engineer on a chemical tanker trading worldwide. You will work with an experienced engineering team, keeping all machinery in good running order and supporting safe and efficient vessel operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in operation, maintenance and repair of main engine, auxiliaries and machinery
- Carry out routine engine room watchkeeping and record keeping
- Perform planned maintenance and report defects to senior engineers
- Support bunkering, fuel transfer and engine room safety routines
- Follow company and vessel procedures, especially for chemical tanker operations
- Requirements:
- Valid 2nd Engineer CoC (STCW) suitable for chemical tankers
- Previous sea service in engine department, tanker experience preferred
- Valid STCW safety courses and tanker / chemical tanker endorsements
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
