- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Cook with meal preparation and basic galley tasks
- Set up, serve and clear meals in the messroom
- Wash dishes, utensils and galley equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in galley, pantry and messroom areas
- Collect and dispose of garbage following vessel procedures
- Support store loading and proper food storage as directed
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Messman or similar position at sea preferred
- Valid STCW certificates and seafarer documents as per rank
- Good understanding of shipboard hygiene and food handling
- Fit for sea service and willing to work in shifts
- Basic English communication skills
- Team player with a positive and hardworking attitude
