OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Pumpman to work on oil/chemical tankers trading worldwide. You will be part of a professional crew, ensuring safe and efficient cargo and ballast operations at sea and in port.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and monitor cargo and ballast pumps, lines and valves
- Assist with cargo loading, discharging and tank cleaning operations
- Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs on pumps and associated equipment
- Ensure safe handling of oil and chemicals, following all safety and pollution-prevention procedures
- Support deck crew with other duties as required by the Chief Officer
Requirements
- Previous experience as Pumpman on oil/chemical tankers
- Good knowledge of cargo pump systems, valves, pipelines and tank cleaning
- Valid STCW certificates and tanker endorsements as per international requirements
- Medically fit for sea service
- Good English communication skills and strong safety mindset
- With Chemical Tanker experience
