OSM Thome is a leading ship management and maritime service provider with more than 30 locations worldwide. We provide ship management, crew management and many other marine services. We are now seeking candidates for our trainee program in Norway, with the possibility of development into positions as Vessel Manager, Project Specialist or other position in our ship and offshore management company, depending on background and development.

We hire young and enthusiastic individuals with relevant experience that want to share their perspective for further growth in our company. We will give introduction periods over 12-18 months in several departments in the company, and in this way show you the different opportunities you have for development in the company. In the introduction period, you will work closely with dedicated senior employees in each department, and also be supported by your manager who is responsible for your trainee program. During the trainee program, your main base will be in Arendal, Norway with periods at other OSM Thome offices. You will also get the opportunity to gain firsthand insight into our operations through visits to vessels and shipyards. After completing the trainee program, you will have the background and knowledge you need to take a new step into a career at OSM Thome.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Take part in ship management for future potential in OSM Thome

• Various administrative duties supporting vessels in operation

• Support onboard maintenance and administrative systems

• Duties and responsibilities suitable for your background and future potential

• Technical Project Coordinator support

• Participate in training courses, internal and external

Qualifications:

• Maritime/Engineering/Offshore subjects

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree, or seafarers nautical/engineering education

• Technical/operational understanding of engineering or operation of vessels and offshore units

• Good Norwegian and English communication skills; verbal and written
