Join OSM Thome as Chief Engineer onboard a modern PSV operating offshore China. Lead the engine department, ensure safe and efficient vessel operations, and keep all machinery in top condition. This role is ideal for a hands-on, safety-focused engineer with solid offshore experience.
Terms and Conditions:
- 350 USD / day but it can be negotiated with the right candidate.
- 6 months contract duration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all engine room and technical operations
- Plan and carry out maintenance and repairs on main and auxiliary machinery
- Monitor fuel, lube oil and spare parts consumption and ordering
- Ensure compliance with company, flag state and class requirements
- Lead and train engine room crew, ensuring safe working practices
- Maintain engine room logs, records and reports.
Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer (Unlimited) CoC.
- Previous experience as C/E on PSV or similar offshore vessels.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, auxiliaries and vessel systems.
- Good command of English, spoken and written.
- Valid offshore and medical certificates as per industry standards .
- Proactive, safety-minded and able to work in a multinational crew.
