Join OSM Thome as Medic on an offshore Diving Support Vessel (DSV) in Brunei. This role is ideal for an experienced seafarer medic who can provide safe, reliable medical care to crew and diving personnel in a busy offshore environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide first aid and emergency medical treatment to all personnel onboard
- Carry out daily medical rounds and monitor the health of crew and divers
- Maintain, store and control all medical supplies, drugs and equipment
- Keep accurate medical records and prepare medical reports as required
- Support health, hygiene and welfare programs onboard the vessel
- Assist with medical drills and emergency response exercises
- Work closely with the Master, Diving Superintendent and shore medical support
Requirements
- Proven experience as Medic onboard offshore vessels, preferably DSV or similar
- Valid offshore / marine medic certificate and up-to-date first aid and trauma training
- Valid STCW certificates and offshore survival (BOSIET/FOET or equivalent)
- Good English communication skills, written and spoken
- Fit for offshore work and able to work in a multicultural crew
- Strong safety mindset and ability to stay calm in emergencies
