Join OSM Thome as 2nd Engineer on an LCO2 tanker trading in Norway. You will be part of a professional engine team, ensuring safe and efficient operation of all machinery and technical systems onboard.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist Chief Engineer with day-to-day engine room operations and maintenance
- Monitor, operate and maintain main engine, auxiliary engines and all related machinery
- Oversee planned maintenance for assigned equipment and keep accurate engine room records
- Support bunkering operations and fuel/lubricant management
- Ensure safe working practices and compliance with company and statutory regulations
- Train and guide junior engine room crew when required
- Requirements:
- Valid STCW III/2 2nd Engineer license
- Experience on tankers; experience with gas/LCO2 or similar cargo is an advantage
- All mandatory STCW safety courses and valid medical certificate
- Good command of English, spoken and written
- Strong safety mindset and good teamwork skills
