Experienced Chief Officer DPO needed for a PSV operating in Luanda, Angola. You will support safe and efficient offshore operations, ensuring that deck, cargo, and DP work are carried out to a high professional standard.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Master in safe navigation and overall vessel management
- Operate and monitor DP system during offshore operations
- Plan and supervise deck and cargo operations, including loading and discharging
- Maintain vessel stability, ballast operations, and cargo documentation
- Lead and manage deck crew, ensuring safe work practices
- Oversee maintenance of deck equipment and safety gear
- Support implementation of SMS, drills, and emergency procedures
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Officer / Chief Mate license (unlimited or appropriate for PSV)
- Valid DP certificate (Full DP preferred)
- Proven experience as Chief Officer on PSVs or similar offshore vessels
- Strong DP operations and offshore loading/discharge experience
- All mandatory STCW certificates and medicals up to date
- Good English communication skills and strong safety mindset
