Join OSM Thome as 2nd Engineer on an Oil/Chemical Tanker trading in the North Sea. You will support safe and efficient engine room operations, working closely with the Chief Engineer and the rest of the technical team.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Engineer in daily engine room management and maintenance
- Operate, monitor and maintain main engine, auxiliaries and related machinery
- Plan and carry out preventive maintenance and repairs
- Ensure safe operation of fuel, lube oil and ballast systems
- Keep engine room logs, records and reports up to date
- Support implementation of safety, environmental and company procedures
- Requirements:
- Valid 2nd Engineer CoC for Oil/Chemical Tankers
- Recent experience as 2/E on tanker vessels
- Good knowledge of engine room systems and troubleshooting
- Tanker familiarization and valid STCW certificates
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
