OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Officer for a bulk carrier trading worldwide. You will work closely with the Master, lead the deck team, and ensure safe and efficient cargo and ship operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan and supervise cargo loading, stowage, and discharge
- Lead and manage deck crew in daily operations and maintenance
- Ensure safe navigation watches as per company and international rules
- Maintain deck equipment, safety gear, and lifesaving appliances
- Implement ISM, ISPS, and company safety procedures on board
- Assist the Master with paperwork, reports, and port formalities
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Officer (Unlimited) license
- Recent experience as C/O on bulk carriers
- STCW certificates up to date
- Good English communication skills
- Strong leadership, safety mindset, and teamwork attitude
