Set sail as Chief Officer on a bulk carrier with OSM Thome. Take charge of deck operations, navigation and cargo handling, and support the Master in running a safe and efficient vessel worldwide.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee navigation, watchkeeping and bridge operations
- Supervise cargo loading, discharging and stowage on bulk carrier
- Manage deck crew and daily deck maintenance
- Ensure compliance with safety, ISM and environmental rules
- Keep navigational and safety equipment in good order
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Officer license (STCW II/2) for worldwide trade
- Recent experience as C/O on bulk carriers
- Good leadership and crew management skills
- Strong safety mindset and solid knowledge of ISM/ISPS
- Good command of written and spoken English
