- Key responsibilities:
- Keep mess rooms, galley and pantries clean and tidy
- Set up and clear tables for meals
- Assist the Cook with basic food preparation and dishwashing
- Handle garbage segregation and disposal according to ship procedures
- Help with stores and provisions handling
- Requirements:
- Sea-going experience as Messman or similar position preferred
- Basic safety and familiarization certificates as per STCW
- Good health and fitness for work at sea
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a mixed-nationality crew
- Good English communication skills
