Join OSM Thome as an Able Seafarer (AB) and work worldwide on board our vessels. You will be part of a professional crew, helping to keep the ship safe, clean and ready for operations at all times.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out mooring and unmooring operations
- Stand deck watch and lookout as required
- Handle deck maintenance, painting, cleaning and greasing
- Assist with cargo and stores operations
- Operate deck equipment and follow safety procedures at all times
- Support emergency and drill duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must have GWO SS and UK visa permit visa
- Valid AB seafarer certificate and STCW documents
- Valid medical fitness certificate
- Good seamanship skills and experience on ocean-going vessels
- Ability to work in a multicultural crew and follow instructions
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Strong safety mindset and willingness to work in all weather conditions
