Set sail as 2nd Officer on a modern car carrier trading worldwide with OSM Thome. Be part of a professional bridge team, support safe navigation, and help keep cargo and crew safe on every voyage.
- Key responsibilities:
- Stand navigational watches as OOW
- Plan and monitor voyages in line with company and COLREGS standards
- Assist the Chief Officer with deck operations and safety routines
- Maintain navigation and safety equipment and keep bridge records updated
- Participate in drills, ISM and safety procedures
- Requirements:
- Valid STCW II/1 Officer of the Watch license
- Recent experience as 2/O or OOW on deep sea vessels (car carrier experience an advantage)
- Valid STCW certificates, medical and GMDSS (if required)
- Good English communication skills
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work well in a multinational crew
