Join OSM Thome as 2nd Engineer on board a VLCC tanker trading worldwide. You will be a key officer in the engine room team, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operation of all machinery and systems on board.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Engineer in daily engine room operations and maintenance
- Monitor, operate and troubleshoot main engine, auxiliaries and related systems
- Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as per PMS
- Keep engine room logs, records and reports up to date
- Ensure safe working practices and compliance with company and international regulations
- Support bunkering, fuel change-over and pollution prevention procedures
- Requirements:
- Valid 2nd Engineer (III/2) CoC, preferably with tanker/VLCC experience
- Valid STCW certificates, medical and seaman’s documents as per international standards
- Good knowledge of engine room operations, maintenance and safety procedures
- Previous experience on tankers is an advantage
- Good English communication skills and a strong safety mindset
