- Key responsibilities:
- Overall command of the vessel, crew, cargo and navigation
- Ensure safe navigation and operation in all weather and trading areas
- Maintain high standards of safety, security and environmental protection
- Oversee cargo loading, discharge and tank cleaning operations
- Lead and train officers and crew, maintain good discipline and teamwork
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, flag, class and international rules
- Plan and report on vessel performance, maintenance and audits
- Requirements:
- Valid Master (Unlimited) CoC
- Experience as Master on oil/chemical tankers
- Valid tanker endorsements and STCW certificates as required
- Strong knowledge of cargo handling and tanker safety
- Good leadership, communication and decision-making skills
- Good English, written and spoken
- Fit for duty and able to pass medical and other mandatory checks
