Join OSM Thome as Pumpman on a chemical tanker trading in HRA. We are looking for an experienced seafarer to keep cargo systems safe, efficient, and ready for operation at all times.
Key responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain cargo pumps and associated piping systems
- Assist with cargo loading, discharging, stripping, and tank cleaning operations
- Carry out routine checks, basic repairs, and preventive maintenance on cargo equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and order in pump room and cargo spaces
- Follow all safety rules, permit-to-work procedures, and pollution prevention standards
- Support deck crew and officers during cargo and mooring operations as required
Requirements
- Proven experience as Pumpman on chemical tankers
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness as per international and flag requirements
- Good knowledge of cargo pumping and tank cleaning systems on chemical tankers
- Strong safety awareness and understanding of enclosed space and pump room hazards
- Ability to work in a multinational crew and follow instructions in English
