Description
Electrician required for a Panama-flagged cement carrier operated by OSM Thome, trading worldwide. The role covers maintenance and repair of all electrical and electronic systems onboard, with close integration to the cement cargo plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair all marine electrical and electronic systems
- Carry out planned maintenance on power distribution, switchboards, generators and motors
- Support operation and maintenance of cement cargo plant electrical and control systems
- Monitor and rectify faults in automation, alarms, sensors and control panels
- Ensure electrical safety and compliance with relevant marine standards and procedures
- Keep accurate records of electrical work, spares and maintenance carried out
- Cooperate closely with engine and deck departments to ensure safe and efficient operations
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year seagoing experience as Electrician or similar electrical rank
- Proficient in marine electrical work, troubleshooting and system maintenance
- Experience on a cement carrier or bulk carrier with integrated cargo systems preferred
- Valid ETR (Electro-Technical Rating) Certificate
- Valid STCW certificates relevant to the position
- Valid C1/D visa is an advantage, if available
