Join OSM Thome as an Electrician (ELEC) on a bulk carrier trading worldwide. You will be responsible for the safe and reliable operation of all electrical and electronic systems onboard, supporting smooth cargo and vessel operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair all electrical equipment, switchboards and distribution systems
- Inspect and maintain generators, motors, lighting, and power supplies
- Assist with maintenance of navigation and communication equipment as required
- Support engine and deck departments during operations and planned maintenance
- Ensure work is carried out safely and in line with company and class rules
- Requirements:
- Relevant marine electrician or electro-technical qualification
- Experience as Electrician/ELEC onboard seagoing vessels, preferably bulk carriers
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
- Good English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multinational crew
