Join OSM Thome as Pumpman on our worldwide trading oil/chemical tankers. You will work closely with deck and engine teams to ensure safe, efficient cargo and ballast operations on board.
- Key responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor and maintain cargo and ballast pumps, lines and valves
- Assist with cargo loading, discharging, stripping and tank change-over
- Carry out routine checks, cleaning and minor repairs in the pump room
- Support tank cleaning and prepare systems for inspections and surveys
- Follow safety procedures, permit-to-work and enclosed space entry rules
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Pumpman on oil/chemical tankers
- Good knowledge of cargo systems, pumps and valves
- Valid STCW certificates and tanker endorsements as per rank
- Fit for sea service with valid medical certificate
- Strong safety awareness and ability to work in a team
