OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Pumpman to work on oil/chemical tankers trading worldwide. Join our crew and help keep all cargo and ballast pumping systems running safely and efficiently.
- Key responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor cargo and ballast pumps, lines, valves, and manifolds
- Carry out routine checks, cleaning, and minor repairs on pumps and pipelines
- Assist with cargo and ballast operations as directed by the Chief Officer
- Maintain pump room housekeeping and follow all safety procedures
- Report defects and support maintenance work with the deck and engine teams
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Pumpman on oil/chemical tankers
- Good knowledge of cargo pumping systems, valves, and pipelines
- Valid STCW certificates and tanker qualifications as per regulations
- Strong safety awareness and ability to follow instructions and procedures
- Fit for sea service and ready to work in an international crew
